MSS in Economics

Admission Eligibility:

  1. Minimum GPA of 2.50 in both SSC and HSC Examinations. or
  2. Candidates must have passed University of London and Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level in at least five subjects and ‘A’ Level in at least two subjects. Only the best five subjects in ‘O’ Level and best two subjects in ‘A’ Level will be considered. Out of these seven subjects, a candidate must have at least 4B’s or GPA of 4.00 in the four subjects and 3 C’s or GPA of 3.5 in the remaining three subjects. (in the scale of A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 and E=1)
  3. Students seeking admission to MSS in Economics program must have basic training from their undergraduate program in Economics. Students with BSS in Economics or BSS Honors in Economics or equivalent degree are eligible for admission to the program. Students without undergraduate degree in Economics can also apply for admission, but these students will be required to take six core courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics viz., ECO 301, ECO 302, ECO 467, ECO 477, ECO 465. These courses will be graded P (Pass) or F (Fail) and will be counted as non-credit courses. Minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 point scale or equivalent standing from any recognized institution.
