Dr. Dilara Begum has been invited as a Secretary of IFLA Information Literacy Section in the IFLA President’s Meeting and Global Vision Kick-off Workshop 2018, Barcelona, Spain
Being a Secretary of International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), Information Literacy (IL) section, Dr. Dilara Begum has been invited to attend a two-day IFLA Global Vision Kick-off Workshop and Presidents Meeting on 19-21 March, 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. The theme of this meeting was “Leading the way: libraries as motors of change” This meeting was the first IFLA President’s Meeting organized by IFLA. The purpose of the meeting and workshop is to gather experiences and perspectives from IFLA’s professional units and engage the library professions to create a global vision of an aligned and connected field able to fulfill the potential of libraries to meet individual and community needs. It should be mentioned here that the Chair and Secretary of each IFLA Section are called IFLA officers and Dr. Dilara Begum has been representing Bangladesh as IFLA officer through this platform.
