East West University Debating Club Triumphs at 18th MGBSDC National’s 2024
The East West University Debating Club (EWUDC), representing Team EWUDC Blues, has emerged as the Champion of the Inter-University Segment at the prestigious 18th MGBSDC National’s 2024. The tournament, hosted by the Motijheel Government Boys School Debating Society, took place on December 27-28 and featured 32 university teams competing in the British Parliamentary format.
Team EWUDC Blues, consisting of Nayemur Rahman and Zafir Anam, demonstrated exceptional debating prowess by outshining prominent teams such as IBA DU, BUET, and Chittagong University in the semifinals, and triumphing over NSU, IUT, and Chittagong University in the finals. Their remarkable performance showcased their strategic thinking, eloquence, and teamwork, securing their well-deserved victory.
Notably, both Nayemur Rahman and Zafir Anam were acknowledged as the 2nd best speakers after the preliminary rounds, highlighting their outstanding talents. Furthermore, Nayemur Rahman received the esteemed title of Debater of the Final for his exceptional contributions during the tournament.
