East West University Team Reaches the 15th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition Semi-Finals


We are delighted to inform you that the East West University (EWU) Moot Court Team has successfully advanced to the semi-finals of the esteemed 15th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition 2024, which took place on November 8-9, 2024. In collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organized this competition.

The EWU team was comprised of four committed undergraduate law students: K. M. Radhit Ahmed Snigdho and Israt Jahan Sadia, both oralists; Asif Rahman, a researcher; and Talha Jubayer, an intern researcher. Mr. Md. Pizuar Hossain and Mr. Sayeed Hossain Sarwar, both Senior Lecturers in the Department of Law at EWU, served as mentors to the team.

The EWU team’s semi-final accomplishment positions them among the top four contenders, demonstrating their dedication and proficiency in resolving intricate international criminal law and humanitarian law issues. The team expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Nabaat Tasnima Mahbub, Chairperson and Associate Professor of the Department of Law; Mr. Ali Mashraf and Ms. Shamshad Bashar, both Lecturers in the Department of Law, for their constant support for the team. The team is also thankful of the valuable feedback provided by Ms. Tasnim Nusrat Reza and Mr. Shah Maruf Uddin Ahmad, both Lecturers in the Department of Law.

East West University extends its warm congratulations to the team on this achievement and looks forward to supporting their continued success in national and international moot court competitions.
