Outstanding Achievement of EWU Law Students at the NUEB LMC National Moot Court Competition 1.0 (2025)

The Department of Law, East West University, is delighted that its moot team has been crowned Champion of the NUEB LMC National Moot Court Competition 2025, titled “Verdict Vista: The Law Olympiad 1.0”, organized by the NEUB Law and Moot Court Club (NEUBLMCC) of North East University Bangladesh. The competition took place on 21–22 November 2025 in Sylhet.

The victorious EWU team—Shagufta Chowdhury Adrita (Oralist), Md. Salmun Alam (Oralist), and Abdur Rahman Jobair (Researcher)—secured the championship through rigorous preparation, exceptional advocacy, and outstanding research abilities. Their remarkable professionalism and consistent performance set them apart throughout the competition.

In the Grand Finale, East West University claimed the Champion title, while the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) earned the Runner-up position, further highlighting the significance of this achievement.

This milestone also marks an extraordinary hat-trick of national triumphs for the Department of Law, EWU, in 2025. With this latest victory, the department proudly celebrates a total of four major championship titles this year—three in national moot court competitions and one in a national law olympiad—solidifying EWU’s growing prominence in the legal arena.

The department extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Nabaat Tasnima Mahbub, Chairperson, for her constant encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support. Special appreciation is also conveyed to Ms. Nur-A Ariya Alam, Lecturer and Coach, whose strategic direction and dedicated mentorship played a vital role in the team’s success. Warm thanks are further extended to Mashraba Naziat for her continuous feedback, support, and motivation during the preparation process.

This achievement stands as a testament to the Department of Law’s commitment to nurturing academic excellence, practical advocacy skills, and leadership among its students. The success of Team EWU in 2025 will remain a proud chapter in the department’s journey toward shaping the next generation of legal professionals.
