PROF. DR. MD. MOBARAK HOSSAIN KHAN WAS INVITED AS A RESOURCE PERSON AT SUMMER SCHOOL OF THE HUMBOLDT UNIVERSITY OF BERLIN, GERMANY
Md. Mobarak Hossain Khan PhD, Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Social Relations, East West University was invited as one of the lecturers (fully sponsored) and co-directors of the 11th International Summer School on “Spatial and digital epidemiology: Leveraging geo-referenced social media in the context of urban health”. The summer school was organized by the University of Zurich, Switzerland between 5 – 9 August 2019. This first international summer school was developed and conducted in 2009 by the School of Public Health, Bielefeld University, Germany under the direction of Dr. Khan and Prof. Dr. Alexander Kraemer. Currently it is represented by faculties of many universities namely Bielefeld, Humboldt, Heidelberg, Zurich and EWU Universities (see the link for detailed information: http://spatialepidemiology.mystrikingly.com/). This year Dr. Khan delivered lecture on “Epidemiological challenges and opportunities to urban mental health” designed for post-graduate (MS/PhD/Post-doctoral) students and researchers from various countries.
