Report on: Youth’s role in preventing corruption (Essay Competition)
The East West University Youth Engagement & Support Group (EWUYES) is one of the prominent groups of EWU. The mission of YES group to collaborate anti-corruption public relations and encourage the youth. For achieving their mission, YES group organized numerous activities. Such as debate competition, camping, essay competition etc.
In 23rd November 2018 they organized an Essay Competition on the topic of: “Youth’s role in preventing corruption”. Through this competition, young students got the opportunity to express their views on corruption through their new and effective thinking, which will play a significant role in the anti-corruption activities of Bangladesh. Students from BBA, Sociology, and Pharmacy department of EWU participated in that competition. “The Department of Information Studies and Library Management” selected some students to participate in that competition. And the student of ISLM Department got the first position in Essay Competition-2018. The prize-giving ceremony was held on Sunday, 17th February 2019 at 3:00 pm. in Nowsher Ali Gallery Room. The Honorable faculty member Dr. Kamrul Hasan (Club moderator of EWUYES) and the main guest of the ceremony, Orchi (program manager of Transparency International Bangladesh Office) and the students of was present in the ceremony.
