  • The primary objective of this role is to actively contribute to the department's mission. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in acquiring projects and securing both national and international funding for various development initiatives. This will involve researching and sourcing relevant information, developing comprehensive project proposals, and facilitating their submission. Additionally, the role encompasses a vital aspect of project management, including implementation and supervision of acquired and ongoing projects. In essence, this position represents an opportunity to be an integral part of GS's impactful work, driving the attainment of the department's objectives through proactive project acquisition and resource mobilization while ensuring successful project execution. We are seeking a team member who possesses a unique blend of soft skills, including a deep understanding of the developmentsector, national and international priorities in the clean energy sector and climate change. This role requires the ability to formulate innovative solutions by combining various components such as technology, finance, and sustainable model. S/he must exhibit self-motivation and a commitment to continuous self-education to excel in this dynamic and ever-evolving environment.
  • Job Responsibilities
  • 1. Conduct desk research to identify new funding opportunities, potential partners, and networking avenues
  • 2. Project conceptualization, design, and implementation
  • 3. Developing concept notes, project proposals, and project specific progress reports (narrative and budget)
  • 4. Developing and executing the fundraising strategy
  • 5. Write effective fundraising applications in response to calls for proposals and/or to potential funding agency
  • 6. Assist in operational activities of the department
  • 7. Network building for the organization through collaborating with national/international networks/platforms and building new partnerships with
  • potential stakeholder
  • 8. Build new partnerships with potential stakeholders
  • 9. Monitoring, conducting field surveys, impact assessment, and project evaluation
  • 10. Prepare and submit monthly/annual departmental progress report ensuring both quantitative and qualitative aspects of the ongoing activities
  • 11. Perform other duties relevant to the Consultancy and Knowledge Practice, as required
  • 12. Supporting cross-functional departmental activities
  • 13. Maintaining regular liaison with different stakeholders
  • 14. Developing and implementing effective communication strategies
  • 15. Perform all additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by the organization
  • Experience Requirements
  • Proven experience in the development sector (At least 2 years)
  • Experience:
  • • Hands-on skills in project proposal writing
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in English and Bengali
  • • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • • Experience in renewable Energy, Climate Change, and Environmental Science will be given preference
  • • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • • Adaptability and a willingness to embrace change.
  • • Passion for community development and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Development Studies, Environmental sciences, Engineering or a related discipline).
  • Job Location: Dhaka
  • (Periodic field visits outside Dhaka will be required)
  • Salary and Benefits:
