Responsibilities: 

Duties will involve the following:

  • Oversee designated tasks of the program team and guide them accordingly;
  • Monitor Program activities and regular reports
  • Coordinate external programs
  • Provide programming and administrative support to the Program team
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders in program design and implementation;
  • Assist program team with preparing events and corresponding with external agencies; coordinate reservation and scheduling activities.


Requirements:

  1. Only fresh graduates and young professionals with an experience of less than two years are eligible to apply
  2. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a reputed university in Bangladesh
  3. Only Bangladeshi nationals can apply
  4. The previous ELGP top 20 are not eligible to apply.
  5. Winners will have to join EMK Center on 1 March, 2024, as an Emerging Leader
  6. Winners will have to behave professionally during their contract period and agree to the terms and conditions stated in the contract agreement.


Nature:

Through a rigorous selection process, four exceptional individuals will be selected to join the EMK Center for 6 months as Emerging Leaders.


Location:

Place of Duty and Position for April-September, 2023:  EMK Center, (Address: The Grand Delvista,  Level 6, CES(A) 1/A, Road, 113 Gulshan Ave, Dhaka 1212).


Office Hours: Office time will be from 10.00 AM to 06.00 PM with a lunch break of 1 Hour. Office time can be extended based on the workload and task completion deadlines. The office will be closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and government holidays.


Salary:

Competitive salary of up to BDT 35,000 per month


Application process:

The initial phase of this program requires a participant to apply through this Google Form. 20 best performers will be selected and invited to participate in the second round, which comprises 3-day in-person challenges to happen on Mid-February, 2024. The second round will judge participants on presentation, planning, teamwork, budgeting, creativity, and problem-solving and analytical skills. In this in-person challenge, participants will be eliminated every day until the final day, where 8 participants will perform to secure 4 positions at the EMK Center as Emerging Leader for a 6-month period.


Application guidelines:

Step 1: Create a brief video presentation, lasting between 90 to 120 seconds, on a developmental challenge of Bangladesh and how EMK can play a role in your plan to mitigate the challenge?

Step 2: Apply through this Google Form, where you will have to upload the video besides the essays and go through a preliminary assessment.

Step 3: Selected participants will be emailed to participate in the 3-day challenge, where you must be physically present. You will be required to work independently and in groups to prove yourself in front of several juries. There will be several tasks and case studies that you will have to ace through innovative solutions. The solutions have to be presented in front of juries through group/individual presentations. The juries will judge you on different aspects, including the following:

  • Public speaking skills
  • Voluntary participation during group discussions
  • Programming ideas from a non-profit perspective
  • Passion for helping underserved communities
  • Budgeting and implementation skills
  • Creativity and analytical skills
  • Professional etiquette and behavior
  • Networking skills
  • Leadership qualities


Application timeline: 

  • 1st Round: Apply through Google Form | December 28, 2023 – January 25, 2024
  • Shortlist Announcement: First Week of February
  • 2nd Round: 3-day Physical Competition | Second and Third Week of February, 2024
  • Winner Announcement: Last Week of February 2024
  • 6-month job contract as Program Executive: March-August, 2024
