Position: Junior Java Developer

Organization: BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limited

Company profile: 

BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limited, a subsidiary of BRAC Bank Limited; is one of the largest stock brokerages in Bangladesh with strong foothold in domestic institutions, retail clients and foreign institutional investment segment. We are looking for confident, career focused and highly energetic Junior Java Developer to serve the internal stake holders and management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Write, test, and maintain high-quality Java code
  2. Participate in the development of new features and functionalities
  3. Analyze and troubleshoot issues in the codebase, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
  4. Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure code reliability and performance.
  5. Participate in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality.
  6. Take initiative to learn new skills and tools that can improve your development work.

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  1. 0-1 years of experience in Java development, including internships or academic projects.
  2. Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and basic understanding of software design principles.

Technical Skills:

  1. Strong foundation in Java programming, with knowledge of object-oriented design principles.
  2. Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  3. Basic knowledge of databases and SQL

Soft skills:

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  2. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate technical concepts clearly.
  3. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to team success.
  4. Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow within the role
