• About the Role:
  This is a full-time internship period of 4 months. The ideal candidate will assist in completing assigned tasks and activities necessary for implementing projects—ideally contributing to primary and secondary research, preparing presentations, developing knowledge products, conducting, data analysis, and organizing thought-leadership events and webinars.
  About the Development & Management Consulting Team
  We provide research, consulting, technical assistance, and project management services to bilateral/multilateral development partners, private sector entities, foundations, and NGO/INGOs. We conduct value chain assessment, implementation projects, gender analysis, M&E studies, project planning and strategy development, and policy analysis. LightCastle also specializes in creating knowledge content on a regular basis for various sectors, themes, and contemporary socio-economic issues. Apart from providing research and technical assistance to development partners, we also implement a number of long-term projects funded by international donors and development partners. Private sector engagement remains at the core of our value addition and we adopt a systemic approach to solving development challenges. The team specializes in a number of sectors and cross-cutting themes including the likes of agriculture, RMG, Financial Inclusion/DFI, WASH, women’s economic empowerment, enterprise development, Market System Development, skills, and livelihood.

• Job Responsibilities Include:
• Primarily provide  assistance to the project lead in designing and implementing projects from the initiation phase till dissemination of the findings to clients/stakeholders
  • Contribute to primary and secondary research including data collection, interviews, and focus-group discussions as well as participate in  extensive desk research
  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative analysis, visualize research findings, and develop contents/reports as required
  • Assist in preparing content and knowledge products including articles, slide decks, concept notes, workshop curriculum, project proposals, etc.
  • Regularly prepare content based on primary and secondary data  for the website and newsletter
  • Maintain  coordination with both internal and external stakeholders as per project requirement
  • Work closely with the team members to design and implement training, workshops, knowledge-sharing programs, and networking events

  • Required Skills and Traits:
  • Bachelors preferably in Business, Economics, Development Studies, or any relevant field. 
  • General understanding and strong interest in strategy and research 
  • Advanced skills  in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Excellent English and Bangla communication skills – both written and oral
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills 
  • Professional attitude, intellectual curiosity, good team player, customer service orientation
  • Willing to work in a highly demanding and result-oriented team environment 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize 
  • Comfortable to travel outside Dhaka for project purposes
