Drama Nakshi Kanthar Maath along with Pitha Utshob organized by Club for Performing Arts (ECPA)

The East West University Club for Performing Arts (ECPA) proudly presented their self-written drama adaptation of Nakshi Kanthar Maath, inspired by the timeless poem by Poet Jashimuddin on 6th January, 2025. Alongside the drama, a colorful Pitha Utshob was held, offering the beauty of Bangladeshi traditions and reinforced the value of embracing and celebrating the nation’s artistic roots..The drama was staged at the Manzur Elahi Auditorium, while the Pitha Utshob were hosted in the Courtyard of the campus. The event provided a unique platform to blend the richness of theatrical storytelling with the rural traditions of Bangladesh. The Pitha Utshob was a delightful addition to the event, featuring over 20 vibrant stalls showcasing an array of traditional pithas, handcrafted items, and other cultural treasures. Visitors indulged in the unique flavors of Bangladeshi culinary heritage, while also exploring beautifully crafted traditional goods that highlighted the rich artistry of rural Bangladesh.
Distinguished guests, including Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik and Treasurer Air Cdre (Retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, graced the occasion alongside faculty members, administrators, and enthusiastic students. Their presence underscored the importance of cultural preservation and the significance of such events in fostering a deeper appreciation of heritage within the university community.
The event concluded with heartfelt appreciation from attendees, who lauded ECPA’s dedication to promoting Bangladeshi culture through an innovative stage play and captivating performances.
