Professor Shams Rahman
ChairpersonProfessor Shams Rahman is an internationally acclaimed academic in supply chain management with over three decades of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. He is currently the Vice-Chancellor of East West University, Bangladesh. He previously held positions at the University of Sydney, the University of Western Australia prior to joining RMIT University, Australia. Professor Rahman has advised multinational firms on issues such as remanufacturing, lean manufacturing, sustainable procurement, and talent management. He is frequently called upon to deliver keynotes and present workshops for professional bodies and senior executives. Professor Rahman has published over 250 research papers and successfully supervised 25 PhD candidates. He is an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management and serves on the editorial board of fifteen international journals. For his contributions to supply chain discipline, in 2010, Professor Rahman was profiled by the industry-based journal Supply Chain Review, Australia.
