East West University Center for Research and Training (EWUCRT) organized a research proposal seminar on “Study of the adsorption of urea over rice and rice husk” on 21 October 2018 at the East West University (EWU) campus, Aftabnagar, Dhaka. The research proposal was presented by Dr. Mahmud Hassan and Dr. Zubair Hasan, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics and Physical Sciences, EWU.   

Dr. Nilufar Nahar, Professor, Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka, and Dr. Mahbub Kabir, Professor, Department of Chemistry, Jahangirnagar University were the main discussants of the research seminar. They appreciated the proposal and pointed out that this scientific research could throw light on some issues related to rice and puffed rice.

The seminar was conducted by Dr. Rafiqul Huda Chaudhury, Member of the Board of Trustees, EWU and Chairperson of EWUCRT. Professor Dr. Fakrul Alam, Pro-Vice Chancellor, EWU, along with faculty members of EWU and officials of EWUCRT attended the seminar.
