EVANESCE – An Intra-University Photography Competition organized by East West University Photography Club

EVANESCE – An Intra-University Photography Competition took place from 24th to 26th June 2025, turning the East West University Wi-Fi Zone into a peaceful and beautiful photo gallery. The event was organized only for EWU students by the East West University Photography Club (EWUPC), and it celebrated the power of creativity through photography.

Out of 1,793 photo submissions, only 50 were chosen for the exhibition. Each photo told a unique and meaningful story. The gallery had a clean, white look with soft lights, creating a calm space for visitors to connect deeply with the photos.

The event was officially inaugurated by Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, who joined as the chief guest. His speech reminded everyone how photography can change how we see the world and help us remember important moments.

The photos were selected and judged by Rakibul Alam Khan, whose expert choices made sure the exhibition had a wide variety of subjects and high artistic quality.

Among the winners, AB Siddik won First Prize for his emotional and powerful photo. Israt Jahan Ira came in Second with a well-composed and thoughtful image. Md Asiful Islam received Third Prize for his creative and skillful work.

But EVANESCE was more than just a contest. It gave new photographers a chance to express themselves and share their work with others. It was a space for thinking, feeling, and finding inspiration—a special time when the creative spirit of the university came alive.

As the event ended, the gallery was still full of visitors talking and admiring the photos. EVANESCE left behind not only good memories, but also a fresh appreciation for the hidden beauty in everyday life, and for the photographers who help us see it.
