EWU 5K RUN organized by EWU Sports Club
On August 26th, the East West University Sports Club organized the university's first ever running event ‘EWU 5K RUN’ sponsored by ‘Prime Bank “successfully. 155 students, 45 faculties and guests - a grand total of 200 participants took part in this event. Moreover, leaders of different running communities were present during the race to guide the participants. Ms. Nazneen Sultana, Senior Lecturer, Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, East West University, acted as a race director to the event.
Kits were distributed one day before the race. The reporting time was fixed at sharp 6.00 am in the morning. Hydration and refreshment drinks had provided to all the participants and those who completed the run got certificates and medals. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place holders of the run from both male and female segments got crests as well. The program was completed at around 8:30 am. No rules were violated, and we can proudly say the first running event organized by East West University is successfully concluded.
The run was organized to inspire the participants, especially the students, to stay fit and fight against “Depression“ and “Obesity“.
