Jul 21, 2020

While everyone was undergoing through a devastating phase in this pandemic, EWU Agro Industrialization Club was planning for something that will not only help the students to practise their productive minds but also something that will have a major impact to the society. Carried away from these motives, East west university Agro Industrialization Club had decided to keep their own field aside and contribute to this pandemic situation. So EWUAIC took an initiative to launch an event named “INITIATEX” -which is an intra university social awareness case competition for individuals, collaborating with “Save the human Bangladesh” a non-profitable organization created by some students of EWU. The main motive of this competition was nothing but to contribute to the people who need us the most in this pandemic circumstance. The whole competition was arranged to have plans generated from the minds of the future leaders so that every one of us alongside with “Save the Human Bangladesh” can play the role from our respective places. The competition registration started in 15th June 2020, unbelievably in a very short time 213 individuals registered for it. In the First online screening round Participants were given a scenario and were asked to provide a plan regarding how individuals can play a role in this pandemic helping others who need us the most. After the screening round, top ten participants were selected who stood out from everyone else with their astonishing ideas. Final round came up with a twist. Finalists were asked to come up with an exceptional digital campaign regarding how plasma donation can be encouraged. Every one of us know that plasma donation has been very effective for the context of Bangladesh but it is very tough sometimes to find a donor. So, Plasma donation campaign was one of the main motives that worked behind the arrangement of Initiatex. Md. Hasibur Rahman Khan, The Assistant manager of pran RFL and Md. Abdus Salam The grants manager of Tobacco free kids were the honourable judges of the final round. On 29th June, the final result came out. The competition was so tight that judges requested to give the second runner up jointly. Ahnaf Chowdhury Niloy became the champion; Md. Mahbubur Rahman become the 1st runner up; Syed Musa Kajim and Akash Saha shared the 2nd runner up jointly. They will be given crests and certificates also the top 10 individuals will be provided certificate as a token of appreciation. In a situation like this, Initiatex indeed had an impact on the community as EWU AIC will soon be doing the digital campaign on Encouraging Plasma donation. EWU AIC would like to let everyone know that the situation will soon be over if we stand alongside each other shoulder to shoulder.
