Bangladesh Accreditation Council visited Institutional Quality Assurance Cell of East West University

Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) has requested Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of East West University (EWU) for arranging a session for the participants of Professional Development Training Course of BAC. In this regard, a team from Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) led by Professor Dr. Sanjoy Kumar Adhikary, Member, BAC, and Professor Dr. S.M. Kabir, Member, BAC, including 16 Directors and Additional Directors from seven private universities has visited EWU to observe physically the activities of IQAC on 11 June 2022. The program began with a welcome address by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of EWU Professor Dr. M. M. Shahidul Hassan. Following the welcome address, the participants have given their self-introduction.

Professor Dr. Basanta Kumar Barmon, Director of IQAC gave a PowerPoint presentation on the activities of IQAC since 2019 including challenges faced by IQAC, actions taken to overcome the challenges, future work plans, and possible challenges to be faced. The main purpose of the session was to make the participants acquainted with the functions and challenges of IQAC.

At the end of the presentation, there was an excellent Q/A session among the Directors, Additional Directors, BAC officials, and Vice Chancellor and Director of IQAC, EWU. Our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor has meticulously answered the questions that were raised from the participants and BAC members. The IQAC director has also assisted him. The session was highly interactive.

The team has praised the activities of IQAC and expressed their gratitude to EWU authority for the well-organized event and kind hospitality. The team also has given special thanks to IQAC for organizing workshops for the administrative officers and staffs along with the faculty members on a regular basis. The participants visited library, IQAC office, labs, and classrooms. At the end, the Director of IQAC wrapped up the program by extending gratitude and thanks to all participants and BAC officials for making the training session a complete success.
