Department of Social Relations Arranges A Webinar on Current Covid-19 Situation and Its Future Aspects

The Department of Social Relations (DSR) of East West University (EWU) organized a Webinar on “COVID-19 in Bangladesh: Current Status, People’s Perception and Our Future” through the Zoom App on 28 December 2021. Founder member of the Board of Trustees Dr. Rafiqul Huda Chaudhury, Honorary Professor and Advisor of the Department of Social Relations as well as the Chairperson of East West University Center for Research and Training (EWUCRT), was the Chief Guest of the Webinar. Professor Dr. Md. Mobarak Hossain Khan chaired the program.

Two thesis students of the MPRHGD program of the Department of Social Relations namely Syed Sajidur Rahman and Md. Nasir Ahmed Shuvo presented their research findings about vaccine hesitancy and willingness to take COVID-19 vaccine. After that Dr. Marzia Zaman Sultana, Senior Lecturer, Department of Social Relations, EWU provided a presentation on "Herd immunity" and Professor Dr. Md. Mobarak Hossain Khan, Chairperson of the same department talked about the future of public health challenges in Bangladesh.

After their presentation, a lively question and answering session was also held on the occasion. A large number of faculty members, officials and students of EWU also attended the Webinar.
