Dr. Mamun Joins East West University (EWU) as Pro Vice-Chancellor

Dr. Muhammad Z Mamun, former Director and Professor, Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka joined EWU as Pro Vice-Chancellor. Dr. Mamun, a BUET graduate (Civil Engineering), did his MBA from American University of Beirut, and IBA, Dhaka. He received his Ph.D. from AIT (Asian Institute of Technology), Bangkok and is a Post-doctoral Fellow of REDP, Japan-AIT program. With more than 30 years teaching and research experience he has specialization in the areas of risk, disaster, technology, quality, supply chain & operations management. He has authored four books, edited one book and contributed in 11 book sections. Dr. Mamun has over 160 publications (81 journal articles and 80 conference papers), in both national and international journals and proceedings in planning and management related areas. Dr. Mamun is awarded two times the most prestigious “UGC (University Grants Commission) Gold Medal” for his academic excellence in the area of Economics & Business. He is also three times winner of the most esteemed “University of Dhaka Ibrahim Memorial Gold medal” for his outstanding academic and research work. His professional achievements include Director, Institute of Business Administration (IBA); Visiting Professor, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, China; Visiting Scholar, Meiji University, Tokyo, Japan; Vice-President (Programs), Secretary & Member, Board of Governors, Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association (APRIA), Singapore; Member, Board of Directors, International Academy of Financial Consumers (IAFICO), South Korea, etc.
