East West University Plants Betel Nut Tree Around the Campus

East West University (EWU) inaugurated the Betel nut tree plantation program around the campus at Aftabnagar in Dhaka. This significant event took place on the morning of January 21, 2025 at the ‘Shaeed Minar’ Premises, and was attended by esteemed members of the EWU administration.
The ceremony was led by Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, the Chief Adviser and founder Vice Chancellor of EWU. He was accompanied by Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, the Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr. M. Ashik Mosaddik, the Pro Vice Chancellor; Mashfiqur Rahman, the Registrar; Md. Touhidul Islam, FCA, the Director of Finance; Md. Jahangir Alam Khan, the Chief of HR and Logistics; A.K.M. Saiful Azad, the Secretary to the Board of Trustees, Md. Rashidul Hassan, Assistant Chief, Admin and Logistics, Mr. Fekulal Ghosh, Landscaping Superviser; and other distinguished officers of EWU.
This initiative symbolizes EWU's commitment to environmental sustainability and its dedication to maintaining a green campus. The Betel nut tree, known for its cultural and ecological significance, will serve as a living tribute to the university's values and heritage.
