EWU Agro Industrialization Club hosted “Agro Biz Expo 2024.”

East West University Agro Industrialization Club hosted the Agro Biz Expo for the Sixth time on the 12th and 13th of May 2024. The Agro Biz Expo was a 2- days trade fair or exhibition focused on the agricultural and agribusiness sectors. It provides a platform for agribusiness professionals, suppliers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to showcase their products, services, and innovations related to agriculture. Agro Biz Expo was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser, East West University, at 10:30 am. Besides, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Air Cdre (Retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer, Club moderators Estiaque Bari and Md Helal Uddin were also present at the inauguration ceremony as guests. After the inauguration, the guests visited the fair and exchanged views with the vendors. After that, the fair was thrown open to all students. Students visited different stalls and explored various agricultural products, technologies, and services.

During the closing ceremony of the Agro Biz Expo a Workshop on "Future Prospects of Agriculture" was conducted. The unraveling secrets behind the agricultural process gained deeper insights from the workshop where the keynote speaker was S.M. Quamruzzaman, Consultant (Horticulture), Former Director, DAE (Add. Secretary). It was an interactive session which had a vibrant journey. In the Agro Biz Expo, participative brands were Pran,Kazi and Kazi,Mohananda Nursery,Sobujer Uthshob Nursery,Khass Food,Maggi,Sajiya's Sparkle,Shoshi,Sokher Bashon and RongDhong,Samiha's Art Gallery,Ezafee,Shunno Bindu,Momo Mela,Café Oxygen,SIP,jamini,Khilgaon Pitha Ghor,Petite Parcels,Craft Loom,Elyson BD,Matir Jinish. These brands got the opportunity to directly engage with 20,000 students.
