EWU-CRT Organizes a Training Workshop

East West University Center for Research and Training (EWUCRT) organized a training program on ‘5S-An Approach to Enhance the Workplace Effectiveness’ for the academic administrators and administrative officers of East West University at EWUCRT Seminar Room of East West University (EWU) campus, Aftabnagar, Dhaka on 04 July 2019. The training session was conducted by Mr. S.M. Ashrafuzzaman, Director (Joint Secretary, Ministry of Industry), National Productivity Organisation, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
Mr. S.M. Ashrafuzzaman, talked about 5S, which is a Japanese workplace method for organizations that uses a list of Japanese words: Seiri, Seiton, Seisō, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke. These have been translated as (Sort), (Set In order), (Shine), (Standardize) and (Sustain).
After the formal discussion, a short question and answering session was held. Professor Dr. Muhammed Shahriar Haque, Executive Director, EWUCRT, Dr. Farhana Ferdousi, Deputy Executive Director, EWUCRT, along with few faculty members and most of the administrative officers of EWU and officials of EWUCRT, attended the training workshop.
