EWU Inaugurates It's Modern Cafeteria

East West University (EWU) inaugurated its newly built modern cafeteria to serve fresh food to the students in a pleasant environment on Monday, 14 August 2023. The cafeteria was inaugurated by Syed Manzur Elahi, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, EWU, and a former adviser of the Caretaker Government of Bangladesh at the EWU Campus, Aftabnagar, Dhaka. The program was attended by among others distinguished guests like Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser and founder Vice Chancellor of EWU, H.N. Ashequr Rahman MP, Member of the Board of Trustees, EWU, Nowshad Shamsul Arefin, Member, Board of Trustees, EWU, Mansoor Mumin, Member, Board of Trustees, EWU, Dr. Joy Samad, Member, Board of Trustees, EWU, Professor Dr. M. M. Shahidul Hassan, Vice Chancellor of EWU, Professor Dr. M. Ziaulhaq Mamun. Pro Vice Chancellor of EWU, and Air Cdre (retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer of EWU. The Deans, Chief Engineer, Registrar, and heads of the academic and administrative departments of EWU also participated in the inauguration ceremony.
Around five hundred consumers can take food at the same time in this newly built cafeteria. There is a facility to cook food for 10,000 people in a day. It also has artistic decoration, central air conditioning and an automatic fire extinguishing system. The authority of EWU hopes that the new cafeteria not only serves fresh food and meets the nutritional needs of the students but also helps them focus on their studies.
