Aug 12, 2024
In a concerted effort to contribute to environmental sustainability and enhance the campus landscape, students from the Department of Business Administration at East West University (EWU) organized a tree plantation program on August 11, 2024. The event took place at the outer wall of the university building, with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and administration. Leading the initiative, Professor Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor, along with Professor Dr. M. Ashik Mosaddik, Pro Vice Chancellor, Air Cdre (retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer, and Mashfiqur Rahman, Registrar, EWU, joined hands with students to plant a variety of saplings, including Krishnachura, Kathbadam, Mehogoni, and Neem.
Trees are indispensable to life on Earth, providing oxygen, combating pollution, and preserving biodiversity. Recognizing the critical role of these natural resources, EWU students and the university community came together to demonstrate their commitment to a greener future. This tree plantation drive is a testament to the university's dedication to fostering environmental consciousness among its students and staff.
