EWU Debating Club has become champion at 3rd Haji Muhammad Mohsin Memorial Inter Club Debate Championship 2023

Another glory added to the EWUDC as Team EWUDC Spades, consisting of Ayez Bin Faruque, Nayemur Rahman and Swamitra Ghosh has become champion at "3rd Haji Muhammad Mohsin Memorial Inter Club Debate Championship 2023"। In remembrance of Haji Muhammad Mohsin, the debate tournament was held last Saturday, September 2, and Tuesday, September 5, with the theme "Not war, hope for a humane world". 32 teams made up of participants from different universities competed in this event. After three preliminary rounds, Ayez Bin Faruque and Nayemur Rahman got the third speaker break. After all other post-break rounds, the East West University Debating Club and the Jahangirnagar University Debating Society competed in the final debate at the university's Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhavan Auditorium on Tuesday afternoon. East West University Debating Club (Opposition) defeated Jahangirnagar University Debating Society (Government Team) by a score of 7-0 ballot. Nayemur Rahman was announced as the debater of the final. The speaker of the final round was Professor Mohammed Shamim Reza, Dhaka University. Professor Akhtaruzzaman, Vice-chancellor, Dhaka University, was present as the chief guest in the prize-giving ceremony. Overall, it was a great achievement for East West University. We believe our debaters will continue to bring more glory in the future.
