Experts' Sessions on Green Computing at East West University

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of East West University organized Experts' Sessions on Green Computing, on Saturday, April 09, 2022. There were two guest lectures and interactive sessions with the students. Afterward, the students of CSE407 (Green Computing course) visited the EWU Datacenter as a field trip. Details of the event were as follows:
Session 1: Technological Trend of Green Computing in the Telecom Industry of Bangladesh
Speaker: Engr. Muhammad Zakaria Bhuiyan,
Senior Assistant Director, Spectrum Division, BTRC.
Session 2: Data Center Infrastructure Design Considerations
Speaker: Mr. Palash Roy,
Managing Director, Bright-I Systems Ltd.
Session 3: Fieldtrip to the EWU Datacenter
Resource Person: Mr. Md. Mahfuz Alam,
Assistant Systems Manager, East West University
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza and Mr. Rashedul Amin Tuhin (Senior Lecturer and Assistant Proctor) from the department of CSE were present to oversee the daylong event. The sessions were chaired by Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza. A quiz competition was arranged after each expert session. Approximately, 100 participants attended the sessions, and certificates were awarded to the winners.
