Inaugural Ceremony of Week-Long Programs of Global Media and Information Literacy Week, 2022

The eleventh Global Media and Information Literacy Week is commemorated from 24 to 31 October 2022, and it is hosted by Nigeria under the theme ““Nurturing trust: A Media and Information Literacy Imperative”. Department of Information Studies and Library Management, East west University is the first university among the public and private who is celebrating this since 2017 continuously. For the sixth time, this year they are observing Global MIL Week 2022 through a week-long program. The celebration of “Global MIL Week 2022” in East West University started with a colorful opening ceremony on 24th October 2022 at campus premises. Honorable Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser, Founder Vice Chancellor, East West University and Former Governor, Bangladesh Bank inaugurated the Global MILL Week 2022 through cutting a ribbon and cake. Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor, Deans of Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and Faculty of Business and Economics, Treasurer, Chairperson, Faculty members, Students, Admin staffs from different departments of East West University were present as well. Rest of the days of Global MIL Week-2022 are also be designed with many of activities by the Department of Information Studies and Library Management, East West University.
