Seminar on Knowledge management and learning continuity in post-COVID situation

The Department of Information Studies and Library Management, East West University organized a seminar titled “Knowledge management and learning continuity in post-COVID situation” on 21 June 2022 at 4.00 p.m. in the Lecture Gallery (Room No. 550) of East west University. At the very outset of the program, invited guests were welcomed by flowers and souvenir. In the welcome speech, Dr. Muhammad Ziaulhaq Mamun, Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor, East West University praised the department for arranging the seminar on such a significant and thoughtful topic. Dr. Debarshi Mukherjee, Professor and Head of the Department of Business Management, Tripura University, India joined the seminar as the Keynote Speaker. He talked about how we map and manage aspiration of a learner, preparedness, expectation of learners, and motivation etc. He also explained the learner matrix developed by him. Special Guest Dr. Kazi Mostak Gausul Hoq, Professor, Department of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka highlighted the importance of knowledge management and learning pattern for sustainable development. In the Q&A session, participants asked different questions and shared their thoughts on the issue with the keynote speaker and special guest. At the end of the program, Dr. Dilara Begum, Associate Professor and Chairperson, Department of Information Studies and Library Management, East West University provided concluding remarks where she disseminated information regarding the contribution of East West University in upholding the learning environment. She also pointed out some of the major achievements and initiatives taken by the East West University authority during the pandemic.
