A Webinar on “Motivational Training Program on Student Satisfaction” on 10 April 2021

On Saturday, 10 April 2021, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of East West University (EWU) organized a webinar on “Motivational Training Program on Student Satisfaction” for the Officers of the Pro-VC, Treasurer, Registrar, Library, Director of Finance, Controller of Examination, HR and Logistics, ICS, CRT, Medical Centre, and Student’s Welfare office of East West University (EWU). Director of IQAC, Professor Dr. Basanta Kumar Barmon started the program with his welcome speech. Succeeding that Professor Dr. Muhammad Ziaulhaq Mamun, Pro-Vice Chancellor of EWU, delivered his motivating talk on student’s satisfaction and highlighted the importance of an officer’s role in assuring that satisfaction.

Our panelists presented their respective papers. Dr. Dilara Begum, Associate Professor & Chairperson, Department of Information Studies & Library Management (ISLM) briefly discussed “The Power of Growth Mindset in the Workplace”whereas Mr. Nahid Hassan Khan, Advisor, DSW and Head of CCC, talked about “Winning Culture to Create Satisfaction”Dr. Mumita Tanjeela, Assistant Professor & Chairperson, Department of Sociology, talked about “How and Why We Need to Build Healthy Relationship with Our Students?” and Mr. Mohammad Eklas Uddin, FCA, Director of Finance, focused on the topic “Student’s Satisfaction is Our Ultimate Goal”The distinguished speakers highlighted that the mindset in workplace should be changed with the advancement in time, winning culture in job satisfaction, effective ways of dealing with students, the key factors of student satisfaction service, good relationship between faculty members and administrative officers and student satisfaction, ways to make first impression to a student, ways to communicate with dissatisfied student, and last but no the least “Student Satisfaction should be the Ultimate Goal of an Educational Institution”. They all recommended that both faculty members and administrative officers should give their best services in their respective departments that will help to uphold the image of EWU in Bangladesh.

At the end of the program, panelists and participants attended the questions and answers session. It was an interactive session and participants shared their own experiences as well. The webinar program was facilitated by Professor Dr. Barmon, Director, IQAC, EWU. The program ended with thanksgiving from the director. The participants expressed their gratitude to the EWU authority and IQAC for arrangement of the webinar. The program was well attended by 64 officers from various departments. The participants found the program fruitful and IQAC plans to hold similar webinars in the future.
