Workshop on “OBE Curriculum Development” on Thursday, 31 March 2022

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of East West University (EWU) organized a workshop on “OBE Curriculum Development” which was took place on Thursday, 31 March 2022 at S. M. Nousher Ali Lecture Gallery. A total of twenty-one faculty members of the department of Pharmacy participated in the workshop. Professor Dr. Sufia Islam, Chairperson, Department of Pharmacy, conducted the session.

Professor Dr. Chowdhury Faiz Hossain, Department of Pharmacy, and Professor Dr. Anisul Haque, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering were present at the workshop as resource persons. Professor Dr. Chowdhury Faiz Hossain has explained the importance and continuous quality improvement implementation plan of outcome-based curriculum. Professor Dr. Anisul Haque shared the ways to improve education quality and student achievement with outcome-based education. He highlighted the mission, vision, and objectives, program educational objectives, graduate attributes, program outcomes, course outcomes, syllabus, unit and lesson plan outcomes, teaching methods, assessment and evaluation tools, customizable rubrics & marking schemes, continuous quality improvement, and outcome-based education and accreditation. The workshop focused on developing the outcome- based curriculum.

There was an open discussion (Q/A) at the end of the session whereby Professor Dr. Anisul Haque and all the participants joined. The participants found the program fruitful. Professor Dr. Sufia Islam thanked the IQAC for organizing this workshop.
