EWU DSW Hosts ‘Club Fair – Summer 2025’ to Welcome Freshers

The Department of Students’ Welfare (DSW) at East West University (EWU) organised the Club Fair on the Summer 2025 Freshers’ Orientation Day, held on 17 June 2025. The objective was to welcome the newly admitted students and introduce them to the activities of EWU clubs. This allowed the freshers to explore their passions and become members of clubs aligned with their interests.
In today’s fast-evolving world, classroom learning alone is not sufficient to ensure long- term success. To foster holistic development—mentally, emotionally, and intellectually—students must engage in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Participation in debates, seminars, symposiums, workshops, cultural events, community service programs, sports, and games plays a crucial role in shaping students character and overall growth alongside their academic pursuits.
Prof. Shams Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of EWU, inaugurated the Club Fair – Summer 2025, visited each club’s table, interacted warmly with the members, and took photographs, which added joy to the event. He encouraged all club members to continue their community-oriented initiatives and actively participate in national-level competitions relevant to their domains.
The event venue was vibrantly decorated with colourful club banners, while trophies and crests were displayed on the tables, showcasing the enthusiasm and achievements of the university’s clubs. A total of 22 EWU clubs presented their creativity and accomplishments, offering students a glimpse into the opportunities for involvement and impact.
