EWU Employment Readiness Program: Understanding the Job Market


The Department of Students’ Welfare, East West University, organized the first session of its Employment Readiness Program on 22 September 2026, titled “Understanding the Job Market.”

The program began with a welcome speech by Ms. Shereen, Adviser, Department of Students’ Welfare and Head of the Career Counseling Center, EWU, who encouraged students to actively participate in the program and make the most of the career development opportunities.

Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, Board of Trustees & Founder Vice Chancellor, EWU, emphasized the importance of confidence, professional attire, and proper preparation for students entering the job market.

Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor, East West University, highlighted the importance of developing relevant competencies, confidence, and skills to succeed in today’s competitive job market. He also discussed key aspects of CV preparation and job interviews.

The session was conducted by Mr. Sagar Khalasi, HR Trainer and Assistant General Manager, Partnerships & Community Development, Shomvob Jobs. He shared practical insights on CV preparation, job searching, interview skills, soft skills, emerging job-market trends, and how graduates can effectively demonstrate their skills to potential employers.

The session provided EWU students with valuable guidance to better prepare themselves for their target careers and future employment opportunities.
