Nobanner Aobhane-1429
East West University Sociology Club had arranged an event name 'Nobanner Aobhane- 1429' on the occasion of Nobanno festival, a festival that the farmers celebrate after collecting their long awaited crops from their field after a hard working session of cultivation. This program was held on 16th November 2022 (1st Ograhayon 1429 bangabd), on the rooftop of the main university building, beside the Department of Sociology. East West University Sociology Club mainly wanted the new generation to know about our culture, and history of Nobanno, through this program.
This program mainly had several parts like exhibition, 'Pithapuli', cultural segment etc. The exibition was held from 10 AM to 5PM where some equipment symbolizing the rural Bengal, like 'Kula', 'Shika', 'Dheki', 'Kachi', 'langol', 'Haat Pakha' were shown in the exhibition. Some pictures were also shown in the exhibition which showed how Nobanno was celebrated before and how it is celebrated now. These pictures also show the changes in our culture, music, entertainment and other fields. At 3: 30 PM. Treasurer Sir of East West University visited the program and shared his precious thoughts to the students of East West University who were present there. At 4 PM the cultural program started where the club members presented recitation, song, dance and drama. After that, the 'PithaPuli' was served, and all the participants and the guests were treated by different types of Pithas and sweets. This is how the program came to an end.
