The PFDA Vocational Training Center Trust, in collaboration with East West University (EWU), formally inaugurated the "Angel Chef" Snacks cum Coffee Corner kiosk at the university's Academic Building-3 (AB-3) on 02 November 2026.
Chief Guest Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf, Secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, along with Professor Dr. M. Ashik Mosaddik, Acting Vice Chancellor of East West University, officially opened the kiosk through a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Operated by neurodiverse and underprivileged youth trained by the PFDA Vocational Training Center Trust, the Angel Chef kiosk is designed to offer high-quality food and beverages to EWU students at customized, affordable prices while providing practical employment and community integration for special needs individuals.
"This initiative demonstrates how social responsibility and academic institutions can intersect effectively," stated Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf during the opening ceremony. "By supporting these special children, society takes a direct role in empowering them to achieve financial independence and long-term dignity."
Professor Dr. M. Ashik Mosaddik emphasized the mutual benefits of the initiative, noting that the university community gains a dedicated, quality food service while actively contributing to a meaningful social cause. He expressed hope that the EWU community would warmly support the kiosk staff to help establish them in society.
Administrative officers and representatives from both the PFDA Vocational Training Center Trust and East West University attended the event.
