Webinar Workshop on “Capacity Building in Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Teaching Methods” on Saturday, 19 February 2022

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of East West University (EWU) organized a webinar workshop on “Capacity Building in OBE Teaching Methods” which was took place on Saturday, 19 February 2022 for the faculty members of the Department of English. The webinar started with a welcome address by Professor Dr. Basanta Kumar Barmon, Director, IQAC, EWU. Dr. Moriam Quadir, Associate Professor, and Chair of the Program Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC), Department of English, conducted the session.

Professor Dr. Syed Ferhat Anwar, Academic Advisor, Professor Dr. A. K. Enamul Haque, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Professor Dr. Bijoy Prashad Barua, Adjunct Professor, Dept. of Economics, and Professor Dr. Muhammed Shahriar Haque, Dept. of English, EWU were present at the event as resource persons. At the end of the presentation of each group, the resource persons gave their valuable suggestions about the course curriculum, design of outcome-based question paper, teaching methods, and student assessment tools. Professor Dr. Fouzia Mannan, Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences made concluding remarks on the event and gave thanks to IQAC for organizing this time demanding workshop.

A total of twenty-three faculty members participated in the interactive session. The senior faculty members were also present at the event. The participants found the program fruitful. They thanked the EWU authority and appreciated the efforts made by the IQAC team in organizing this type of workshop. Concluding the program, the director expressed his vote of thanks to all expert members, session chair, and participants for their active participation and professional bodies for their collaboration in this online workshop.
