EWU’s GDLFM Program Receives UGC Accreditation Extension

The Executive Development Center (EDC) of East West University (EWU) has achieved a notable academic milestone as the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh has extended the accreditation of its Graduate Diploma in Leather, Leather Goods, and Footwear Management (GDLFM) program for an additional four years, effective from 14 January 2026.
It is to be noted that the GDLFM Program has been accredited since 27 February 2020.
The accreditation renewal reflects UGC’s recognition of the program’s academic quality and its strong contribution to developing skilled professionals for Bangladesh’s leather and footwear industry—one of the country’s key export sectors.
The extension also reaffirms EWU’s commitment to maintaining high educational standards and strengthening industry-academia collaboration. The renewed accreditation is expected to further support workforce development and sustainable industrial growth in Bangladesh’s leather and footwear sector.
