Workshop on “Outcome-Based Education (OBE)” on 17 June 2022

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of East West University (EWU) organized a workshop on “Outcome-Based Education (OBE)” which was held on 17 June 2022 for the faculty members of the department of MBA & EMBA programs. Dr. M. Sayeed Alam, Assistant Professor, and Coordinator, Department of MBA & EMBA Programs coordinated the event. The event started with a welcome address by Dr. M. Sayeed Alam. Pro-Vice Chancellor of EWU Professor Dr. Muhammad Ziaulhaq Mamun was also present in the program. He urges the teachers to be more self-conscious about quality education and research.

Distinguished resource person Professor Dr. Md. Mozammel Huq Azad Khan, Department of Computer Science & Engineering conducted the session with a PowerPoint presentation. He discussed the importance of the issues of academic quality work, components of OBE, Program Educational Objectives (PEO), Program and Course Outcomes, Mapping of mission, PEOs, PLOs and CLOs, process of OBE, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Bloom’s Taxonomy.

The program was attended by thirty faculty members from the public and private universities including the faculty members of the department of Business Administration of EWU. The participants underscored the need of outcome-based education for ensuring quality in higher education and thanked the EWU authority and IQAC for organizing this workshop. At the end of the program, the Coordinator of the department of MBA & EMBA Programs expressed his vote of thanks to all the participants for their active participation in this workshop. The participants also thanked university authority and IQAC for organizing this workshop.
