Teachers’ Training Program on “Teaching, Learning, and Research.”

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), in collaboration with the Center for Research and Training (CRT) at East West University (EWU), is hosting a long-term Teachers’ Training Program on “Teaching, Learning, and Research.” This program is specifically designed for Lecturers and Senior Lecturers who joined the university between 2022 and 2024. The Vice Chancellor of EWU, Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, officially inaugurated the program on October 31, 2024.

During the inauguration, the Director of IQAC, Professor Sufia Islam, welcomed the new faculty members and introduced them to the teachers’ training program. She provided an overview of the various modules included in the training manual for this essential program.

Professor Dr. Shams Rahman highlighted the significance of the training session, emphasizing its role in enhancing educational quality and faculty development. He expressed his gratitude to the IQAC for successfully hosting this program for young faculty members for the first time. Professor Rahman stated that such initiatives are vital for fostering professional growth and collaboration among educators.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor at EWU and a resource person for this program, was briefly introduced by Professor Dr. Wasif Ahmed Reza, Additional Director of IQAC, at the start of the session titled "Quality Assurance and Quality Enhancement in Higher Education." Professor Mosaddik conducted an engaging and interactive session, sharing his expertise with the participants.

A total of 58 young faculty members from diverse departments participated in the program, showcasing a strong commitment to professional development and collaboration. The event provided an invaluable opportunity for networking and sharing innovative teaching practices. Dr. Basanta Kumar Barmon, who serves as the Additional Director of the IQAC, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the participants and organizers during his closing remarks.
