“The 5th National Entrepreneurship Summit 2023” organized by East-West University Telecommunication Club

The 5th National Entrepreneurship Summit 2023 concluded with the participation of students from different universities of the country with different innovative ideas. The 2-days long summit was held on 1st and 2nd December 2023 at East West University campus. The Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) Project of the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) under the ICT Division of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was the strategic partner of the summit presented by Pickaboo, which was organized by the East-West University Telecommunication Club. The main motive for the event is to make the students knowledgeable about “Business and Technology”. The Vice-Chancellor (VC) of East West University, Professor Dr. Shams Rahman was the chief guest of the closing program of the summit held on 2 December 2023. Deputy Secretary and Project Director of the iDEA Project Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman was present as a special guest on the program.
Besides, the judges iDEA Project Senior Consultant Siddhartho Goushami and Communications Consultant Shohag Chandra Das along with CEO of 88 Innovation Engineering Limited J. Kabir, Elite Force CTO Engineer Abdur Rahman Rakib, TMGB President Mohammad Kawsar Uddin were present at the closing ceremony. The Chairperson of the Social Relation Department Dr. Md. Mobarak Hossain Khan and CSE Department Lecturer and moderator Md. Khalid Mahbub Khan were also present with them.
Among the applicants, 18 teams participated in the summit and presented their innovative ideas to the judges through pitching. On December 1, 2023, Friday, after a day-long pitching round, 10 ideas were initially selected. The selected ideas were finally presented by the 10 talented teams in the final round held on December 2, 2023. Finally, the winning 3 teams are announced.
As the winner “Team Eco Shelter” received a prize of BDT 10,000 by securing 1st position. Besides, Team “Hydro Zone” won 2nd place and won BDT 6,000 and Team “Aces High” won 3rd place and won BDT 4,000. Apart from this, the 3 winning teams were given certificates with honor crests by the host and host authorities.
