" Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign " organized by Rotaract Club of East West University

Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign was a long day seminar arranged by the Rotaract club of East West University on 2nd November,2022 at Lecture gallery #126. The keynote speaker of the seminar was Professor Dr. MD Habibullah Talukdar, Head, Department of Cancer Epidemiology National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital Founder and Chief Coordinator Bangladesh Breast Cancer Awareness Forum. There were two guest speakers in the seminar. one of them was Dr.Modhura Chowdhury, Manager Healthcare Services , BRAC and the other one was Mosarrat Jahan Saurabh, Chairperson at Community Oncology Centre Trust. The speakers talked about breast cancer, it’s cure, prevention, precautions and other contemporary health issues that are seen among women. There were two segments in the seminar. First part was a free checkup for the female students, and staff from 1 pm to 6 pm. In the screening session more than 150 female students, employees and staff got the chance of free checkup by experts. And the second part was the main seminar, and it was held at 5 pm.
Through this program, RACEWU hopes that students are enlightened regarding breast cancer, and they would be more conscious and would start living a healthy life.
