CRTEWU Arranges A Research Seminar

The Center for Research and Training East West University (CRTEWU) successfully organized a knowledge-sharing seminar titled “Application of Supercritical Fluid Technique in Food and Pharmaceuticals” on 03 July 2024, at 12.30 pm in CRT Seminar Room of East West University.

The seminar featured Dr. Md. Jahurul Haque, Instructor in the Department of Agriculture at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, USA, as the guest speaker. Dr. Haque shared his expertise on the applications of supercritical fluid techniques in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Supercritical fluid technology is a novel process that utilizes fluids above their critical pressure and temperature. This technology offers several advantages in food and pharmaceutical processing, including; Improved product quality and safety, Enhanced extraction of desirable compounds, Environmentally friendly processing etc.

The seminar attracted a diverse audience of faculty members, researchers, students, and professionals interested in exploring the potential of supercritical fluids. Dr. Haque’s presentation generated significant interest, followed by a lively question-and-answer session.

The seminar was conducted by Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor,EWU. Prof. Dr. Muhammed Shahriar Haque, Executive Director, EWUCRT, has given the introductory speech on the occasion.
