The Center for Research and Training at East West University (CRTEWU) successfully hosted a research seminar titled “Numerical Modeling of Tsunami and Storm Surges along the Coastal Belt of the Indian Ocean” on January 16, 2025, in the CRTEWU Seminar Room at East West University (EWU).

The seminar featured distinguished researchers including Dr. Md. Fazlul Karim, Professor, and Dr. Anindita Paul, Professor, from the Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at East West University, along with Dr. Mohammed Ashaque Meah, Professor, Department of Mathematics, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet. Dr. Anindita Paul presented the research proposal to an engaged audience.

Dr. Mostafa Ali, Professor, Department of Water Resources Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), served as the key discussant, providing critical insights and feedback on the research.

The seminar was presided over by Dr. Rafiqul Huda Chaudhury, Member of the Board of Trustees at EWU and Chairperson of CRTEWU. The session saw active participation from the audience, who asked insightful questions, made comments, and provided valuable feedback during the Q&A session.
