The Department of Law at East West University received an exceptional recognition for its strong performance and contributions on Wednesday, 26 November 2025 as Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, Board of Trustees and Founder Vice Chancellor of East West University hosted a distinguished celebratory luncheon in honor of the Department’s remarkable accomplishments throughout the year. The event was graced by Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, the esteemed Chairperson of the Board of Trustees; Professor Shams Rahman, the Honorable Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, the Pro-Vice Chancellor; Air Cdre (Retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer; Dr. Farzana Akhter, Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences; Dr. Anisur Rahman, Proctor & Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering; and other senior members of the EWU administration, creating an atmosphere of celebration and pride.

Dr. Nabaat Tasnima Mahbub, Chairperson & Associate Professor; Faculty Members and the brilliant Mooters of the Department of Law were specially invited to this prestigious gathering following a year marked by unparalleled success and academic excellence. The students of the Department of Law achieved a historic streak of victories in three consecutive Moot Court Competitions along with a National Law Olympiad Championship showing their teamwork and strong critical thinking, communication skills, and legal understanding. Apart from the team wins, several students received individual recognition for their strong legal reasoning, research abilities, and advocacy skills, such as the ‘Best Petitioner’s Award’, ‘Rebellious Spirit Award’, ‘Verdict on Motion Award’, ‘Best Oralist Awards’, and the ‘Best Olympian Award’.

These accomplishments reflect the Department’s tireless commitment to nurturing excellence and fostering a culture where discipline, dedication, and ambition come together.

During the luncheon, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and the Vice Chancellor acknowledged the devoted efforts of the faculty members of the Department of Law and the students’ consistent pursuit of excellence noting that the remarkable successes of the Department of Law have strengthened EWU’s standing both nationally and in competitive spheres.

The event concluded with heartfelt congratulations and renewed encouragement for the Department to continue setting higher benchmarks, inspiring future generations, and upholding its legacy of academic and competitive supremacy.
