East West University and Mutual Trust Bank PLC have signed an Agreement for Payroll Banking & Cash Management Services

East West University (EWU) and Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) have recently signed an agreement to provide comprehensive Payroll Banking and Cash Management Services for the university’s teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as for its students.
Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, EWU, and Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of MTB, formally exchanged the documents at a simple ceremony held at the East West University campus in Aftabnagar, Dhaka, on 23 November 2025.
Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Air Cdre (Retd.) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer, Mashfiqur Rahman, Registrar, and Md. Touhidul Islam FCA, Director of Finance of EWU, were present on behalf of the University. On the other hand, Md. Shafquat Hossain, Deputy Managing Director & Head of Retail Banking Division, Tahsin Taher, Head of Retail Segment, Mohammad Ashik Iqbal Khan, Head of Cash Management, and Rashid Ahmed Bin Wali, Head of Payroll Banking, along with other senior officials from Mutual Trust Bank PLC, were present on the occasion.
