East West University Celebrates ACBSP Accreditation of Faculty of Business and Economics

East West University (EWU) has celebrated the prestigious accreditation of its Faculty of Business and Economics by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). A special celebration ceremony was held on April 23rd at the BCDM in Rajendrapur, Gazipur, to mark this significant achievement. EWU’s Faculty of Business and Economics received this globally recognized accreditation last year, underscoring its commitment to providing high-quality business education.
The celebratory event was graced by the presence of several distinguished members of the East West University community. Among the attendees were Prof. Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, EWU; Mr. Nowshad Shamsul Arefin, Member, Board of Trustees, EWU; Mr. Mansoor Mumin, Member, Board of Trustees, EWU; Prof. Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor; Prof.Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Anup Chowdhury, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics; Dr. Abul H. M. G. Azam, Professor-cum-Adviser, Department of Business Administration; Prof. Dr. Farhana Ferdousi, Chairperson, Department of Business Administration; Dr. Muntasir Chaudhury, Chairperson, Department of Economics; Mashfiqur Rahman, Registrar; and the dedicated faculty members and administrative officers of the Faculty of Business and Economics.
The ceremony commenced with a short briefing session highlighting the rigorous process and the significance of the ACBSP accreditation for the Faculty of Business and Economics and the university as a whole.
Several dignitaries addressed the gathering, sharing their pride and vision for the future. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, lauded the faculty and administration for their dedication in achieving this international recognition. Prof. Dr. Shams Rahman, the Vice Chancellor, emphasized the importance of ACBSP accreditation in enhancing the global standing of the university and its business programs. Dr. Anup Chowdhury, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, expressed his gratitude to all involved and reiterated the faculty's commitment to continuous improvement and excellence. Dr. Abul H. M. G. Azam, Professor-cum-Adviser, Department of Business Administration, also shared his insights on the significance of this milestone.
Following the inspiring speeches, a fun and engaging program was organized to celebrate the occasion. The program featured delightful recitations of poems, melodious singing performances, and interactive gaming sessions, fostering a sense of camaraderie and joy among the attendees.
