East West University Debating Club Secures Novice Runners-Up Title at Islamic University of Technology Inter Club Debate Tournament 2025

From August 1 to August 4, the Islamic University of Technology, IUT Inter Club 2025 was held in the Institutional English British Parliamentary format, featuring intense rounds of high-level discourse. Team EWUDC ZG comprising Zafir Anam and Gazi Wasif Huda Umid, representing East West University Debating Club secured the novice runners-up position with a compelling performance in the Final. Zafir Anam was also awarded “Novice Debater of the Tournament” for his sharp analysis and confident delivery. The tournament featured debates on complex motions, showcasing exceptional research and argumentation. Beyond accolades, it was a transformative experience, strengthening participants' critical thinking, public speaking, and empathy, qualities that reflect East West University and EWUDC’s mission of nurturing articulate, thoughtful, and socially conscious members of society and debaters for challenges beyond the podium.
