East West University Library organized an awards ceremony on the occasion of National Library Day 2023

The East West University Library held an awards ceremony on 09 April 2023 at the Annex Section of the EWU library on the occasion of National Library Day 2023. The event is organized annually to raise awareness about the importance of the library and The National Library Day among the EWU Community. This year's theme was “স্মার্ট লাইব্রেরি, স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ” (Smart Library, Smart Bangladesh) and the ceremony was one of several programs arranged for the EWU community.
The best library users were selected from two categories: one from faculty members (one male and one female) and one from students (one male and one female). There was also a category for the quiz competition. Dr. Mohammad Kamruzzaman Talukder, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering was named the best library user from the faculty category: male, while Sarah Enamul Haque, Senior Lecturer, Department of Economics was named the best library user from the faculty category: female. Also, Ferdousi Rahman (DBA) and Md. Mohshiu Islam Khan (CSE) were named the best library users from the students.
The winners from the quiz competition category are listed as Marjana Jahan (GEB), Nahiyat Jahan Tonima (Pharmacy), and Sumi Habib (Economics). All of the winners expressed their appreciation for the EWU Library's environment, services, and professionalism.
Dr. Dilara Begum, Associate Professor, Chairperson of the Department of Information Studies, and Librarian (In-Charge) presided over the event.
