East West University Observes 54th Independence Day of Bangladesh

East West University (EWU) observed the 54th Independence Day of Bangladesh on 26 March 2025, honoring the profound sacrifices of the freedom fighters and martyrs who paved the way for the nation's liberation. The university community gathered to pay tribute to the spirit of independence and national pride. The day commenced at 5:56 a.m. at the 'Shaheed Minar' premises within the university campus, where the National Flag and the University Flag were ceremoniously hoisted. This event was led by Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and Founder Vice Chancellor of EWU, and Professor Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of EWU, along with Prof. Dr. M. Ashik Mosaddik, Pro- Vice Chancellor and Air Cdre (retd.) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer of EWU.
Following the flag hoisting, a special "Munajat" was offered, with prayers for the enduring peace, prosperity, and progress of Bangladesh. The solemn occasion was attended by esteemed Deans, Faculty Members, Officers, Students, and University Staff.
The event served as a reminder of the immense courage and dedication of those who fought for Bangladesh's independence and reinforced the university's commitment to upholding the values of freedom and national unity. East West University remains dedicated to fostering an environment of patriotism and civic responsibility among its students and staff.
