East West University Vice Chancellor Strengthens International Academic Partnerships in Malaysia and Vietnam

As part of East West University's efforts to strengthen international academic partnerships, Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of East West University, visited Universiti Malaya in Kuala Lumpur and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Shah Alam during his official visit to Malaysia. He also visited RMIT University's Vietnam Campus.
On 3 July 2026, Professor Rahman met with the Vice Chancellor and representatives of the International Office at Universiti Malaya. The following day, on 4 July 2026, he visited Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), where he held meetings with the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Associate Deputy Vice Chancellor, and other senior representatives. During his visit to RMIT University Vietnam on 07 July 2026, Professor Rahman also met with the Pro Vice-Chancellor and General Director, along with other senior university leaders, to discuss prospective collaborations between RMIT University Vietnam and East West University. He also participated in a panel discussion on "Contemporary Disruptions in Global Supply Chains & Logistics and Their Impacts on International Trade."
The discussions across all three universities focused on strengthening academic collaboration through student mobility, faculty exchange, collaborative research, knowledge sharing, and the development of joint academic initiatives. The meetings explored opportunities to expand institutional cooperation and identify areas of mutual interest that would benefit students, faculty members, and researchers.
These engagements reflected a shared commitment to fostering stronger international partnerships and advancing collaboration in higher education. East West University looks forward to working closely with Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and RMIT University to develop initiatives that contribute to academic excellence and global engagement.
